Any other day of the week news like this would have made him smile. Would have brought him great joy, and made him buy this man who told him a beer. Today wasn't going to happen like that, he just nodded his head, he'd thought as much would happen. After all Akai was a second in the Snakes, so he was bound to be found sooner or later, he was just glad it was sooner before anything else had happened. Kailey, his little sister was asleep on his leather couch in his office. Creak was only a sharpe but he was a business man as well, he looked over at her. Her mascara had run everywhere last night, she'd been a mess and he'd known just why, even if she didn't know it yet, he sighed, shit this was going to be hard he knew that too. He got up and walked over to her and ran a hand threw her hair, she'd gotten no sleep till he'd given her something for that this morning she should be awake in the next two hours he just wasn't sure when. "You've always known how to make a mess haven't you poppet," he smirked, it was his job to cover up and take care of her messes though.
Which was why the second of the snakes was in his lobby waiting for him. After their little introduction and the way his sister had run out last night, he was prepared to meet a pissed off or at least upset Akai. Creak was dressed nicely this morning. A suit now rather then what he'd worn to the club. He sighed before opening the double doors to great Akai, "I'm sorry for this, but we need to speak." he told him. "My sister isn't like others you see...and I think you need to know." before anymore damage was done.

Akai had been miserable after the other night, he hadn’t gotten any sleep from the previous night, hadn’t even changed, but his sleeves were rolled up. He looked particularly horrible, his hair a mess, rings under his eyes, and completely just unfocused, but he needed to talk to her brother. He needed to find out if she was okay, to apologize. He came out and Akai thought he was about ready to be beaten to a pulp, but he knew he deserved it. After he said what he did, Akai looked up at him, pain in his eyes. “How is she doing?” He asked in a whisper, wanting to just make sure or do something. “Tell her I’m sorry, please. Pleas-“ His words cut off in a whisper as tears built in his eyes.
He was falling apart from the inside out and he hasn’t ever been this emotional, everyone knew that, but now he couldn’t stop himself. He just looked down after he was waiting for what Creek had to say next. He just wished someone would beat him to a pulp because he didn’t want to be here, he didn’t want to hurt her like that again.

He sat in his office, in his nice chair, with her head in his lap, stroking her hair calming her down as she let go of everything. She was a mess and didn't seem to care about it, everything she was saying she said without a word, her sobbs told him the story and he knew it was time finally time for someone who wasn't himself to know the story, to know why Kailey was so speical. He sighed, why a second tho, not just someone he could make dissapear, but it had to be this way he knew. Akai looked like shit, nothing like the man he'd seen at the club the other night who looked confident he smirked for a moment. "She really did a number on you didn't she." he shook his head.
"She's healing well, she doesn't usually wear herself out so much on just one person," he commented and looked Akai in the eyes. He wondered what was special about this man? "You have nothing to be sorry for, it's her own fault. She knows about her condition." he paused and let it sink in. "Kailey is speical in a way most aren't. I'm not just her brother I'm her docotor. Kailey has a rare, lets call it condition, where she feels she always feels the need to be loved, yet doesn't truthfully believe anyone loves her." he said sighing he looked at the ground for a moment. "Until now. She has always had at least three romantic relationships going on at a time, until a few weeks ago, when she broke up with them. When she met you. Kailey has never loved any of them, well not really, she thinks she has, but she's always waited for someone to actually care about her back.....she thinks your the person whose going to love her." Creak cleared his throat. "Now I need to know, are you" it sounded like a threat then. What made this one so special that she could actually love him when she'd failed so many times, when others had failed by the hundreds to catch her and keep her.

After Creek said that she did a number on him, he wanted to object and say it was his fault but he spoke too fast. Everything he had said just seemed to sink in slowly as he finally asked if he was the one. He froze up, looking up at him, thinking about it. “I…do. I love her. I just, it’s my fault. It was too soon. I…” He looked down then as a hand covered his face and he sighed, his chest giving. “I feel like she deserves better.” He whispered, knowing what Creek had said about her, but he didn’t want this to be her fault. Wait…what? But it had to be partially his fault.
He pulled himself together after a moment and sighed. “Can I see her?” He asked, wanting to hold her in his arms, wanting to be there for her and makes sure she was doing okay. He knew he probably wouldn’t be able to, he just wanted to see if maybe he could. “Or is it too early?” He looked at Creek, with every ounce of hope in his eyes. “Thank you for talking with me, Creek. And I’m sorry about our first meeting at the bar. But, thank you for watching over her and keeping her safe.” He continued knowing it would probably be funny from Creek’s perspective because he had been by her side for a while probably. But he couldn’t help but be thankful for her being there.

Since the day he'd met Kailey she'd been going threw guys like there was some sort of epidemic going on. Always looking for someone, looking for her the one, the one that would make her stop with all others, the one who would make her heart pound and make her forget about everyone else, she didn't know if that person really exsisted anymore, he could read that from her, and now Akai was here. Was she really in love, was he? or were they both just scared? Creak didn't want to let him see Kailey not yet, not while there was still so much both of them didn't know about everything if he broke her heart, he didn't know if anyone would be able to fix it. "I already told you this isn't your fault. She may have actually found someone who loves her, and well it scared her..so she ran." he shrugged and pulled out a pack lightin it up he needed a cancer stick, he sucked it in long and low. "I wouldn't 'pect anythin different from her. She is who she is, and Kailey well she's unstable as they come," someone needed to warn this guy. "She loves to get guys hearts make them love her, and then leave them." he was going to carry on about how he didn't think it would be best for Akai to see her right now, maybe not ever when the situation went out of his hands. The doors to his office opened and there she was standing, her hair all the way down, she'd changed while he'd been out here one of his people had helped her he'd guess. She was now in something he'd never seen before "Creak," her voice was dry she looked sad, tired, scared and came into his arm when he held them out telling her he was here he held her while she nuzzled into him for a moment he looked down at her and kissed the top of her head. "I'll always be here for her, no matter what. She's my little sister, she's everything to me," Kailey looked up at Creak when he spoke, but who was he speaking too, then she turned and saw Akai, she gasped but didn't move as her skin flushed. He stood there for a moment, loosening his grip on her, she looked at him, bitting her lower lip, she and Creak shared a look, he knew about her Creak nodded and Kailey stood her ground he knew she was twisted and could never love anyone, "why are you here?" she asked Akai looking at his feet not his face.

Akai listened to him, carefully and knew this was going to be hard, this was something he was going to have to deal with if he really loved her. And he would, even if it hurt him from time to time, even if it cost him his heart. “I just, don’t want her to feel like it is hers. I understand and I will stand by her through this, even if it hurts to do so.” He said strongly as he looked in his eyes, promise in his own. “You have my word.” He said, knowing he would keep that, and as a second, it would be his word also. Then Kailey came out and he froze, his body losing its air as he watched her, feeling like he was about to get stabbed in the heart, but he knew this is what was going to happen from now on. But he wanted to be different, to be the one for her and so he would be, even if she didn’t see eye to eye for a while. At least he hoped that he would be hers now, that he wasn’t going to be pushed away.
Then she asked why he was here. His lips parted but nothing came out and he had a million words to say, but he could only think of a few to say. “Because I love you.” He whispered, his voice cracking as he cleared his throat, trying to catch her eyes. “Because I was worried about you.” He said waiting for her, but a long silence set in between them and he felt tears build as though after all this she no longer wanted him, but this was the price he was willing to pay, to stand there and be treated this way. “You have a great brother. I’m sure you know that. I will let you be.” He said just waiting, not moving for a moment as there was nothing yet, so he started towards the door in hopes that she might stop him.

Some people could act childish from time to time, but Kailey, she didn't just act childish. She was childish sometimes. When she came out of the room, she was scared like a child, but then she came over to Creak and she was happy, and her movements danced with grace as she got to him like a child who thought their life should be lived out like a ballerina's ballet. She moved around like no one watched her when she danced like she was the star of something unseen, and it made Creak stare, it was why he loved her so much, she bounced so much she was fasinating with her movements and her mind, he smiled at her and centered her when she came but ultamitly he was there to watch. To watch as the tears started to collect in her eyes when he said he loved her, to watch as she took a giant step back and suddenly seemed scared again. Her heart was pounding beating so fast, and that feeling in her stomach she shook her head.
"No." the word came from her lips, but it was just a hushed whisper barely heard. She looked at him, something inside of her hurt, everywhere hurt. She looked at Creak, why did this hurt she wondered she wanted him to explain why it hurt. "Please don't love me," she begged the air around him, "Please I don't want to hurt you." she spoke out this time. Tears in her eyes, they fell down her face and her shoulders shook a little bit. She suddenly felt so small in this dress and robe she felt more like a paitent someone sick then a princess as she had when she'd exited. Her feet moved and her hand caught the bottom of his jacket holding onto it. Her body controdicted her mind, her body wanted him to stay her mind told him to run. She couldn't let go, couldn't tell him what to do that would be correct she could only just stand there and feel the tears wash her face. "Why does being around you hurt so much?" she asked him, she looked him in the eyes, why did it make her heart want to explode but hurt even more when he was gone.

Akai was reaching for the handle when she asked him not to love her and his hand shook as he stared out the window. And then her following words made him look down and sigh softly, and he was about to move forward like he didn’t hear her, like he wanted to just leave it at the fact he loved her and there were no questions about it. Then she grasped him and he stopped as he turned to look at her, watching the tears, all in silence. The question haunted him as he thought over it, as he stood frozen in that moment wondering what happened, how had they gotten to this point in one night, how had they fallen so hard. He just slowly raised a hand to brush through her hair and then gently brushed his cheek. He came to kneel before her and pulled her in his arms, wanting to hold her there forever. “What’s done cannot be erased. And love comes with a price, my dear. And it hurts, because you love me too.” He said simply and slowly into her ear, the words of love, harsh and yet sweet. He knew this might be a lot for her to take in, but she had to know. She couldn’t keep going on like this and if she needed help, he was her help and he would not waver, not even if she begged him too. “Please don’t let me go, Kailey.” He whispered, tears rolling down his cheeks, an ache in him forming as he buried his head in her hair. “Please don’t.” He whispered as his voice was muffled with tears. He loved her so much and he wasn’t going to give her up.

She wanted it then. More then she'd ever wanted anything else in her entire life. She wanted to scream, to yell and shout, she wanted to hit him kick him, make him and everything she was feeling go away. She wanted to say no. That she didn't love him, that he didn't love her, and that she could go on living like she had she didn't like change. She bit her lip when he grabbed her, she nearly fell into him and just crawled into his lap ontop of him. She was scared, scared enough that she was shaking as she held onto him. She didn't want to love him too, but she did, she knew she did.
Once she was done listening to him, she pulled away from him, both of them had tears running down their face. "Akai. she sobbed out his name. She looked at him, feeling scared and exposed it was something she'd never felt before in her entire life. She'd never put so much of herself out there, she'd always hidden. She bit her lip, before coming closer to him and kissing him softly at first but then more needing. Shaking her head no closing her eyes, she sucked in her breath. "I don't want to hurt you...." she admitted to him she was scared she was going to hurt him, break his heart, "I don't know how to be in love." she told him looking in his eyes would he reject her because of this?

When she spoke his name, he felt better, but he knew she was struggling, that this was going to be hard for her, that it would take time. As she kissed him, he kissed back, at the same pace she was going because he was afraid she would run again. “I know you don’t, but it is inevitable that you will sometimes. It happens when you love someone. And I don’t know how to be either, but we’ll find out together, love.” He gave a weak smile through his tears as he brushed a hand through her hair, wanting to just keep her like this. He kissed her gently then and wondered how this was working, how he could ever be this crazy, but he loved her. “I’m going to stay, even if you hurt me. No matter how much it hurts.” He looked at her and had promising eyes, wondering if she would understand, if she would go through with this. He surely hoped she would and would not run. But he had a feeling it might happen a few times. But he knew he would deal with it when they got there, if they got there. He just sat there and gazed at her, then leaned in and kissed her passionately, his hand interlaced with her hair.

She looked him in the eyes, just not saying anything for a moment. Simply just breathing feeling herself next to him. Why did he have to know her problems? Why did he have to know it only made everything so much harder when he knew everything she thought. Before she could have pretended maybe she never would have hurt him now she only knew she was going to, it would happen, and that made her want to die. "Please don't let me hurt you," she whispered begging him to leave after the kiss was over. Her eyes were closed maybe it was a prayer if she knew how to do such a thing.
She kissed him again, just feeling him next too her. She just wanted him, when the kiss was broken, she wiped her eyes with her hands trying to clear up her tears. She bit her lip. "I care about you so much Akai," and she didn't even know why but she did. She just loved him, she smiled at him. 'Your my the one" she kissed him again scared of what she'd just admitted.

When she begged, his heart ached as he looked at her, his thumb brushing over her cheekbone. “Love, it might happen, but no matter what happens, I will always love you. You need to understand that.” He whispered softly to her, not even really knowing where this was coming from, it was just coming without a moment’s hesitation. He wanted this so badly that he would sacrifice anything for her, even himself. “I know, love.” He responded to how she cared about him, but he wanted her here no matter what. Then her next words caught him off guard, but he smiled wide and kissed her back. “You’re mine too.” He knew she was scared right now that anything she said would push him away. “Dear..” He mumbled into her lips and then pulled back. “It’s going to take a lot more than words to ever push me away, remember that love.” He spoke softly as he pulled her close into a hug.

Standing there, staring at each of them, looking at their faces, their tears. Both of them seemed so exposed right then. Creak couldn't help the smile on his face when he looked at them, he wanted to warn Akai about everything that she needed that she might do, but never had she said she loved someone like that, called them her the one, he couldnt help the happiness.
She let out a laugh as more tears came down her face, her make up would have looked awful she thought, but she didn't have much on. She was crying more, but they were happy tears, she was smiling so much she couldn't keep her eyes open. She curled herself into him, her arms around his middle and her face in his neck, she felt like she never wanted to let go of him. Why was she so messed up? Was this going to work? She didn't know, she didn't know anything really, all she knew was that she loved him I want this too work she told him. Suddenly she was smirking and looking at him Im going to make this work." she wasn't going to go away from him anything he wanted from now on, she'd do it for him.

Akai just lay there, as they hugged each other for a long moment as he closed his eyes, resting his chin on her shoulder. He rubbed her back gently as he smiled, tears also flowing from him, but they were happy tears. He loved her so much and he couldn't help but want to never let go of this. It seemed that they were going to be together for a while or based off of this conversation, but he didn't want to get too ahead of himself because this could end up going in the wrong direction, but he hoped that would never be the case. He hadn't ever felt like this before and he hoped that would never change for her.
Love for most people lingered if they had truly loved someone and it would not fully fade. They may just stay in your heart and linger. He didn't know fully what that was like because he never really loved someone before. "I love you." He responded after she said she would make this work and even if they fell from time to time, he hoped they would roll with the punches when they happened.

She leaned in and kissed him after he told her he loved her. She'd heard the words before, a hundred thousand times, from so many lips, so many men who thought they loved her, who thought they knew her. She'd changed herself to be with every one of those men, she'd made herself preppy, and gothic, and everything that someone could think of she'd done it to try and win a heart but it'd never worked they'd never stolen her heart too. Until Akai, when she wasn't acting with him. She'd been on duty when she met him, looking after a charge of hers and hadn't acted yet he liked her, he liked her, he thought he loved her. She couldn't believe it, she started to feel it in her stomach, those things, feelings, she bit her lip, butterflies. Kailey kissed him again, without saying anything she just kissed him over and over, light kisses that lingered, until they grew more and she was with him, smiling as she kissed him looking at him, their lips not touching teasingly close as she looked in his eyes. She smiled at him like she'd won the lottery. "You know your still my boss." she said after a moment of thinking. She smirked. "Wonder what Ivy would think about this." she said thinking about their mutual boss, because he was a second, he was someone permanite not someone who she could easily dump and never see again. She sighed, and ran her hands threw his hair smiling softly "I'm glad your a second, she admitted leaning her forehead to his. "It means you can't ever leave," he couldn't just poof in the middle of the night and leave her.
