History:
His family life is pretty decent, parents are still together, been married ever since his Father had graduated top of his class to become a teacher. That was forever ago, his Mother and Father still love each other, as far as he could see. They had him and his little brother throughout their marriage, and they’ve treated them fairly, loved the two sons, punished the two sons, yelled, argued, cried, they were a typical normal family. No one had died beside their Grandparents, and that was of old age, and a family pet or two. And whatever did come their way, they all four made it through somehow or another. So, how did he get into the Snakes? Well, it was simple actually.
Ever since he was young, he was taught very strictly that boys are tough, they never cry, and they can’t be emotional either. However, when he was young he was much different than he is today, he did cry whenever he got hurt, he was a wimp and got picked on a lot, and he was a very friendly and empathetic little boy. Of course both parents were disappointed, as they were rough and tough, but they loved him anyway, just as long as he was healthy, which they made sure of that if anything. Since he wasn’t a physical kind of boy, they made sure he was a smart boy. But that soon came to an end when he met Ivy.
Ivy, real name Ivory, is his best friend, she was his only real friend, she was his hero. He was getting picked on one day in the playground, a little more rougher than usual, he was crying and they were laughing. All the other kids were ignoring the screams. He didn’t know why, but somehow he guessed that Ivy got sick of it. She was four years older than he was, he was six at the time and she ten. His bullies the same age as her. But he was glad that she helped him out, even if she wasn’t doing it with the good of her heart. After that he followed her around like a lost puppy, he was pretty sure she got mad at him because of this. But soon enough she grew fond of him, and they were inseparable since.
He was like her shadow, if she needed someone, he was there, if she needed help, he was the first to volunteer, if she got in trouble, he took the blame as well just so that she wouldn’t get in as much trouble. He trusted her, if it had come down to it, he’d jump a bullet for her, he’d even be willing to get dumped in acid just so that she wouldn’t be harmed. Some might say that he was in love with her, he’d just laugh and so ‘Eww, no way, she’s like a sister man.’ and punch that person who said it, playfully of course. It was when he started to hang out with her, and get in more trouble than he’s ever gotten in before, did he start to want to be more rough and tough. This elated his parents, even though he wanted to get more stronger for her, they started to train him. His Father more than his Mother since they had little Calvin.
During High School he was in the Boxing Team, and by the end of his Senior he became the Captain and won the school some trophies along with his team that he had helped trained along with his Father. However, even though he was more than able to defend himself, he was still unable to. Unless it was a sport, he wasn’t able to hurt anybody. So that’s why he was a Runner along with Ivy when they first joined the Snakes. He wasn’t too sure when Ivy joined, but since he was her shadow, he found out eventually, and followed her like a good puppy would do even if the master yelled and hit him. He became a Runner so that they could still be together, they made a good pair. She was more brawn than he was, and that was because he was anti-violence, he was the brain mostly and made sure she didn’t do anything too rash or if someone was trying to pull a fast one on her. He never liked it when people fought dirty.
When rumors started about how she might get a nominee to be the next Leader if anything had happened to their old Leader, may his soul rest in peace, he knew that he had to get promoted so that he could be closer to her. He wanted to become a Hitter, and even talked with the old Leader about it, but before a final judgment was made he passed on. But Oliver had a feeling that he would have said no anyway, and he knows Ivy wouldn’t let him be a Hitter. However, he’s going to his damned hardest to become a Hitter, so that he can protect his best friend better.
He is now out of High School, and spends most his days, when he isn’t working for the Gang, at home trying to get Online classes so that he can try and find a real job, and maybe achieve his dream of becoming a teacher. And it has to be Online since he can’t leave Ivy alone long enough without him worrying about her. When she graduated High School and he was left alone, without knowing what was happening to her, that nearly killed him. Oliver knows that she can take of herself, but he can't help but worry, it's just his nature to do so, and he wants to be her protector even if she doesn't need it. It's just a back up plan.
