Samantha’s eyes flicked open, she was lying on her side and the room she was in wasn’t hers. She frowned at the pain in her head throbbed and made her eyes hurt. How much did she drink last night. It was around dawn as she could see a soft glow behind the curtains. Softly and as quietly as she could she rolled over to have a look at who she was in bed with. The guy sleeping next to her didn’t look familiar but he was cute, she was happy she hadn’t gone home with an ugly guy. Creeping out of the bed she found her clothes scattered around the room and got dressed silently. She hated just leaving like this but it was just easier that way, no awkward good mornings, or silent conversation over breakfast and coffee. By her leaving avoided all of that annoying crap. Creeping out of the room she walked down the stairs and opened the front door.
The cool morning air cleared her head a little but and she didn’t feel as crappy as she did before. She looked around and tried to see if she recognised anything. At first she didn’t see anything she knew, she started to panic a little bit, where the hell was she. As she walked further down the road she noticed a park, a park she knew relief washed over her as she was going in the right direction. She tucked her hands into her coat pocket and walked as fast as her hung over legs would carry her. She just wanted to get home and have a shower. She felt seedy and gross. Well that’s what you get for sleeping with a complete stranger and sleeping in his bed till wee hours of the morning. Oh well, it was fun at the time, every Saturday night it was a different guy, she has always been that way, she wasn’t going to change. Plus she enjoyed it, mostly.
Finally coming onto the street where most of the snakes lived, the whole street pretty much was just housing for the snakes. Sam thought that it was a good idea buying all the houses in the street and having all the snakes move in. That way if anything was to go down they were all in the same place and there was no need to go looking for anyone. She turned up the drive way of her house and walked around the back. She stopped at the little basement window and pushed it inwards. She slipped her body through the little window and touched lightly down on the dusty concrete. If you were wondering why she didn’t just use the front door, its because she never took her house keys with her to the pub, reduces the risk of loosing them or leaving them at some random guys house. There was nothing worse then having to go back and get them.
She made her way up the old wooden stairs and pushed open the door and stepped out into the hallway of her house. It was dark inside as all the curtains were black and they were drawn. She didn’t bother opening them she just kicked off her shoes and pulled her jacket off and threw it over the couch and went straight up stairs. She entered her room and removed the rest of her clothes and went into the bathroom and flicked in the light, it made her squint a little till they adjusted. She walked over to the basin and opened up the draw and pulled out a box of the morning after pill and popped one., just in case. She then walked over to the shower and stepped into it and turned it on. The hot water felt like heaven and she instantly relaxed. She closed her eyes and lent her head against the wall she didn’t want to move, her hang over slowly went away.
After about an hour she turned off the shower and wrapped herself in a towel and walked back out into her room and sat down on the bed. The little red number one on her answering machine was flickering and she groaned as she was scared to push play. She knew she had to just in case it was the boss, she couldn’t ignore the boss. She reached over and pressed the play button and flopped back onto the bed as she waited to hear what was recorded. The runners voice entered her ears and she groaned even louder. “Hey, York. Orders are in get tagging this time as close as you can get to enemy lines as possible, go over them if your game” then the dial tone. She pulled herself up and scratched her head. He didn’t say she had to do it straight away, maybe she could get a quick power nap in first then go, nah she would rather get it done then sleep.
Sam got up off the bed and walked over to her closet and dragged out her skinny leg jeans and the first shirt she saw, a baggy black on with a big white love heart on the front. She dressed quickly and slipped her boots on and grabbed her jacket from off the back of her door and make her way down stairs. She opened to door that lead into her garage and unlocked the doors of the car that was there. It was a Mercedes Benz E63 AMG. She really needed to give that back to Rose. She was only borrowing it for a couple of days, yeah two weeks later. She just loved driving it, well if Rose cared she would have pulled her up about it by now. Sam grabbed her paints and jumped into the car. She pressed the button on the dash to open the garage and she back out, pushing it again when she was pulling out onto the road. She would return the car one day.
Sam was pretty daring and as she drove she smiled to herself as a devious plan struck her mind. She was going to park her car in Snake territory and walk the rest of the way into tiger territory on foot, she was going to sneak around without being noticed and tag one of the buildings close by. Parking the car she got out and locked it and walked across the invisible boarder and headed towards the closest building. One that was closed and didn’t have to many people around. It was still really early on a Sunday morning everyone was still in bed getting over their hangover, just like she should be, but duty calls. She then spotted it, it was still closed and not a soul in sight. Rickie’s Pizza Place. With a smirk on her lips she crossed the road and pulled out her black paint and scooped out the security camera and hid her face and sprayed the lens.
She pulled out her green and started the spray against the front of the building, across the glass windows and the front door. The tag consisted of a snake and a bunch of words in German that read follow the serpent. It only took her a few minutes to get it to how she wanted it. Being proud of her art she stepped back and examined her hand work, probably something she shouldn’t have done. First rule of tagging, get in and get out.Snapping out of it she quickly looked around the area and there wasn’t anyone around. Lucky. She then picked up the empty cans of spray paint and put them into her deep pockets of her jacket. Her stomach grumbled and she looked around, she knew there was a Macdonald’s in neutral but she was here now and no one knew she was Snake, with a bit of luck she would be able to get some food with anyone knowing what she had just done or that she was a Snake.
Walking around the back of the Pizza Place she disposed of the spray cans in the dumpster. Hopefully by lunch time they would be on their way to the city dump. Wiping her hands on the inside of her jacket just to remove any paint she made her way back around the front of the Building, she shouldn’t have been looking at the ground, you just never know who your going to run into. Andrew stretched, his lower muscles aching in his legs, his eyes peering at the ceiling of the dark room, that allowed the moonlight to scatter through. He groaned before rolling onto his side and standing up, his silhouette outlined slightly in the dark, a bare chest, only to be interrupted by sweat pants. He had a few bruises on his stomach, ones that surrounded a long scar that rested to the right of his belly button. One he had gotten from one of his fights with a snake who decided to pull out a knife instead of using his fists. He never really thought about it, but sometimes weird memories like that came up.
He had not really gotten out except for fights lately, especially with the incident with Kaz. He could not bring himself to see her yet, to see her and Kai together. He needed to be strong for them both. He sat there for a long moment just haunted by those thoughts that made him want to die inside. He needed to go though, maybe to run. He slipped into socks and shoes, leaving no shirt on his back, but bolted away from that room that seemed to swallow him whole in his misery.
He sprinted, thoughts clearing his mind as he started for town even though no one would be open at this time of night. Maybe someone would be awake from the Tigers, but he did not expect it. The cool of the night seemed to bite at his skin, but it was refreshing for him and for a moment he felt free. There was no one, nothing to stop him and he would run for hours if he wanted.
His breath grew heavier and sweat glistened on his skin as his run continued. He was tired, even now, in every way, but he kept going as though he was on a never ending trial or path. And all of the sudden, boom. He crashed into someone who just wrapped around the corner of a building. “What the…” He nearly fell over the person and just paused, his eyes refocusing as he realized it was a woman and he immediately kneeled by her.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” He said, his heart beating so heavily now as he looked at her to see if he caused any damage. He hoped she wouldn’t be pissed with him because some people get really irritated with this kind of stuff even though it really doesn’t happen everyday.
Then he suddenly wondered what she was doing out so late. He looked at the dark edge between the buildings. His eyebrows furrowed together and he just pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind refocusing himself on the problem at hand.

Stupid paint, just come off already, she wanted food she didn’t want to have to go home first and scrub it off, she just wanted to eat. The sun that was dawning gave enough light for her to see that there wasn’t any paint left on her hands, sighing with relief she looked up and gave a small yelp as someone crashed into her a full speed. A first she thought someone was attacking her and she put her arms up over her face to protect herself. But she lowered them when the man knelt beside her and apologised making sure she was alright. She caught her breath and tried to slow her heart rate. Her backside was numb from where she had landed on it. “Its okay, I’m fine” she said sitting there on the cement. Slowly she pulled herself up off the ground and dusted herself off. She looked him over, he was very fine all puffed out and covered in sweat. The skankiness that her mother didn’t want her having clicked over. “So where you running too” she asked leaning against the side of the building, that she had just tagged. She didn’t know if he was a tiger, she knew he wasn’t a snake, she had pretty much slept with all of them.

He did not see all that she was right then and there because he just wasn’t thinking straight right now. “I’m not exactly sure.” He spoke and then pointed towards the building. “What were you doing here so late?” He asked her slightly curious and wanted to move past her, but if there was no reason to he would just move on. Heck, he really didn’t know if he cared or could give a crap. “Sorry, I’m…you don’t have to tell me. Just curious.” He said having replayed the words in his head realizing how fatherish that was of him. He just smiled sheepishly and blushed slightly. The air made his skin tingle as he stood there and finally realized how stupid he was to not wear a shirt. He realized then and there that she had noticed that and he laughed softly to himself.
“Want a drink to make up for it?” He said being a gentleman but couldn’t help but wonder if maybe she would be interested in him. He didn’t know if he was ready for a relationship, but he figured it was worth a shot. He wasn’t a guy to just sleep with everyone, but he couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she was, but he wondered what type of person she was. “I know this great place, only a few blocks away. I just…I might need to go home first, unless being shirtless is suddenly accepted.” He smirked a little, only enough to be charming.

Sam smiled to the sweaty man, he was obviously trying to leave something behind. She could tell because of the way he was running, fast determined, and then what he said was a dead give away, he didn’t even know where he was running too and it didn’t seem to bother him. “I get that way to” she said smiling, she always believed that it was her smile got her all the guys. The what he asked next made her slightly nervous, she covered it up well over the years she had learnt to hide it, she had come close to being caught so many times but she had talked her way out of it every time. He then said that she didn’t have to answer the question. “Don’t you mean so early” she said pointing up the pink sky, she wondered how long he had been running if he hadn’t even noticed the nearing sun.
He then asked her if she wanted to go for a drink with him to make up for knocking her down. She thought about it for a moment, she really wanted to go to sleep and not wake up for several hours but on the other hand she was curious about this man and wanted to get to know him a little better. Also she wanted to see the rest of him without clothes, but she pushed those thoughts away…for now. “Sure that sounds good, I could really use some caffeine” she said making sure she had everything for didn’t want to leave anything behind that might be incriminating to her. He then explained that he knew a place close by and she smirk when he said that he might have to go home cause a lot of people didn’t appreciate a shirtless man. How silly those people were. “Well I don’t mind but if you think it is best” she said running her eyes over his naked upper half.

He watched her look over him quite obviously this time and he smirked, shaking his head slightly. “Well, why don’t you come with me back to my apartment? I really don’t want to go to bed right now so…” He said offering her his arm and smiling, “Mylady.” He said playfully with a soft laugh as he watched her. She was beautiful, but he was wondering slightly about her. She did not seem his type and he really liked the not slutty girls because he could actually trust those ones. He figured that she really did not have much better to do either right now so why not go get a drink? He really didn’t drink all too often, but he had when he was younger, but once you get enough it’s like you really move past that stage, not that he minded having a few drinks every now and then.
She really had not answered his question which made her being out here slightly suspicious. He shrugged mentally and was just basically like whatever. He wanted to throw his morning away in a sense. For once, he wanted to get away from the reality he faced and to just have fun with another person. He really had not been around anyone he was friendly with and he didn’t know if he would at this rate, but here was an opportunity and he felt as though he needed to move forward, especially if he was leaving the gang soon.

Sam smiled as he asked her if she wanted to go back to his apartment so he could out a shirt on. The thought of him being a homicidal maniac crossed her mind but it didn’t linger for long. She really didn’t think he was like that but she really didn’t care either. She was a smart girl but things like that didn’t worry her. They should have worried her but she had gone home with that many guys and none of them turned out to be murderers. “Sure why not” she said looping her arm around his and smiled as he called her his lady. She could feel the heat coming from him through her jacket and a shiver ran up her spine. They started walking, of course following his lead as she had no idea where he lived.
They were silent for a little while and a thought crossed her mind, she didn’t even know his name which wasn’t a shock as she didn’t usually know most of the men names she had been with but there was something different about this one, she felt inclined to know it. “My name is Sam, by the way” she said looking up to him, he was taller then she was, like everybody else on the planet she was a short girl even with heels on, she usually was shorter then everyone else. It would have looked strange to others the pair of them walking arm in arm down the street, she fully clothed and he half naked. “Perhaps I should take my jacket off, that way it evens out the ratio of clothes being worn, that way our walking together doesn’t seem so strange” she said with a small grin.

“I’m Andrew.” He responded to her with a smile as he just kept walking, the silences between them slightly awkward but filled with attraction to the other person. He couldn’t contain his smile right now because he just felt happy in an odd sense. Then her next sentence caught him off guard and he wondered, but he would not question her. “Would you like me to hold it for you?” He asked like a gentleman. He didn’t know if he should flirt though because he just met her. It just seemed too quick, yet he could not deny that he was attracted to her. His eyes kind of blanked as they made there way to the house, the sun slowly rising, but still fairly dark out.
“So…what do you like to do?” He asked her figuring they could get a few small bits of conversation in before they reached his apartment. He liked conversation and especially with strangers because he liked finding out about people and their background especially if he was taking interest in a person. He had this instinct that maybe he should stay away from her, but part of him did not want to, part of him wanted to give in this time. So he pushed what poked at his inner voice out and just focused on what was going on.
