Kaz couldn't tell you when she'd adopted the habit. When it'd become part of her life to every night walk the park after the lights had gone out, or to hang around the darkest areas where the light didn't penetrate the trees and it was solid darkness. She didn't know what she liked about the dark, after what had happened to her here in this park, for months she'd thought she'd never be able to walk there again. Terrance had made her face it, made her live in her fear so she could concure it.
Tonight it wasn't her fear that had drawn her here tonight. She didn't care about the fear tonight, she just wanted to sit in the dark. To hide inside of the dark and reflect after last night. She seemed to come here when she had the most to think about, maybe to face her thoughts in the dark where she thought she was or to escape her thoughts and check on everything. This was her turf, she'd been attacked her, and she knew others that had been attacked her, since she took over though, she was trying to keep that from happening. She sighed into the night, closing her eyes and pulling out a cigarette she lit it, and walked the paths more, wondering into oblivion she hoped. All she could think about was Kai and last nigth, over and over, how much he'd scared her she didn't know what she was going to do. She'd talked to Ivy today, but now she was sitting on a beach in the dark smoking, trying to hide her black eye. She told herself everything else, but on this night she was in the dark because she was hiding her black eye.

Andrew stood on the deck having heard that Kaz had left by herself while it was dark out. He was always slightly protective over her and when he heard things like this, he just wanted to make sure she had someone there to kind of keep an eye on her. But he knew that he sometimes needed to let her go and he respected that most of the time, but he could tell something was wrong by the mood today that was set. Slowly, he approached her as he saw her smoke and just stopped a few feet from her and leaned down to her ear. “Hey dear.” He spoke softly smiling hoping that if something was wrong, he could help ease the pain.
He encircled her, as he looked at her, hands crossed over his muscled chest, a black long sleeve shirt on along with khaki pants. He suddenly saw the black eye and his jaw suddenly set, growling in his stomach. “Who did that to you, Kaz?” He asked her in a protective tone, ready to beat the shit out of the person who messed with his leader. The second in commands in gangs were usually tough people who you really did not want to mess around with and especially with the two from the Tigers, they even budded heads sometimes.
As far as Andrew was, he was pretty strong and as all leaders go he knew how to defend himself and those lower than him. He knew how to be a good leader and put aside his problems, but as all guys, he sometimes had a stupid moment, but that’s not too irregular. And with Kaz, he was very protective, but in a quiet manner, he wasn’t very vocal about it and he tried not to be an annoying second in command and he would only show this “weakness” when he felt he absolutely needed to. This was one of those moments for him.

When she was young she swore she'd never smoke. Never light up her own cigarette, or do anything like that. She was going to be a clean good person, who wore dresses every day and had everything she needed. It was funny to think how far she'd come, to this point now of lighting up her cigarette without even thinking. She stuck it in her lips, closing her eyes.
She nearly killed Moore as he snuck up behind her, if she didn't have such good muscle control she would have made it unable for him to have children. "It's not a good idea to sneak up on me, you should know that dollface," she said smirking, as she stroked his face when she saw it. Moore was a good guy, one of the only tigers she really trusted with her life, which was why he was her second, he'd proven himself time and time again.
She growled a bit when he mentioned her eye, it still hurt like a bitch, but she'd put some ice on it, making the swelling come down a little bit. Still Tigers weren't one to see something like this and turn tail, maybe if they were the other gang but not her team, not her boys, not her seconds, she sighed. "Don't worry about it, I'm dealing with it," though she still had no idea how she was going to deal with Kai and be with him. She stopped touching him thinking about Kai, she sighed, and sucked in another breath off her cigarette. "What are you doing here?" she asked him.

Moore smiled as Kaz stroked his face, leaning into her touch before having backed up and coming in front of her. He gave her a long gaze, “No…who did it, Kaz?” He asked her, a sense of anger in his tone, not directed at her, just the fact that he had a feeling that she wasn’t hit by another woman. “A man has no right to hit a woman. Especially you.” He said with a rigid tone as he came to kneel in front of her.
His hand gently came up to her cheek and brushed his fingers gently over her skin as he gazed into her eyes. “I don’t want to see you hurt like this ever and no one should ever treat you like that. I get we are in a gang, but we haven’t been anywhere near the snakes lately so it has to be someone closer to you.” He continued, wishing he had her for his own and just dropped his hand looking away from her, a bit of pain in his stomach.
He knew he had ignored the other question and chose to respond to it now. “I just came out to relax.” He lied, hoping she would just trust him on that answer and not find the truth that he came out here because he knew something was wrong with her. He really did care for her, maybe even loved her, but he didn’t know about the latter. He then glanced down at the cigarettes and sighed, “May I please have one?” He asked politely and gave her a weak smile. He knew this was bad for himself but he couldn’t help the addiction sometimes, especially when he was stressed, but that was just part of his life.

Guilt twisted inside of her when she found his touch comforting. Typically after something like this, after being in a place like this, she'd be avoiding his touch like the plague, but Moore was someone she knew, he was comforting, safe to her. She didn't want to tell Moore about what had happened. Still he was her second, one of two and if he was about to become her only second he should know about it. How to tell him, she sucked in more poisons from her cigarette before saying, "Kai and I may have gotten into it last night," she swallowed. Even that didn't sound right, "He was drunk, and" she threw up her hands, in a very girlish manor, but she didn't want to say the words outloud.
"Things just happened" she said smashing the cigarette on the ground when it was done. She shrugged her shoulders, she was stressed because of this whole situation, walking around in the dark park. She turned and looked at him touched his arm with a smirk on her face. "So long as your not spying on me,....I'm glad you're here," she looked down the path, "This place was getting lonely," she admitted she still touched his arm without thinking about that, before letting go of him and digging in her pockets.
She dug out a pair of cigarettes and her lighter. Feeling bold as usual she grabbed the cigarette and placed it between his lips and lit it, tucking the cigarette between her lips, and smirking. "Light mine?" she asked, a cigarette kiss. She didn't know why she was being like this with Moore, more flirty then normal, more touchy, she just felt outside of her own skin, and like being with him, would put her back into herself.

A bit of hate bubbled up in his stomach as he just went cold in front of her, honestly growing more hateful of him. He felt like driving down to Kai’s right now and beating the shit out of him to a blood little pulp. “He doesn’t deserve you or forgiveness, Kaz. No one like that deserves you.” He spoke softly trying to conceal his anger. He just looked at Kaz for the longs moment, wondering if Kai would have been stupid enough as a drunk to kill her. He didn’t know what he would have done, probably go insane if that happened. With the fact that they already were not very good friends, they would not roll over well.
“Things shouldn’t have happened.” He spoke and just realized his tone came out more rigid than he intended it to. He looked down away from her and sighed softly, “I’m sorry.” He then looked back up to her when she touched his arm and smiled at her words. “Well, I’m glad I could be of assistance to you, madam.” He smirked as the words rolled off of his tongue charmingly as though he had said them a million times before. He wanted to kiss her, to hold her in his arms forever and just watch the stars in the sky.
“Of course, I could do more than that.” He smirked more, two rows of perfectly straight teeth appearing as he lifted her lighter from her hand and a spark flicked up into a perfect flame that danced with the slight blow of the wind. It lit the end of the cigarette until the end glowed a beautiful red. Then he stole the other cigarette from her and lit that one, “Thank you.” He said, inhaling deeply before puffing the smoke out of his nose and laughing for a moment at himself.

The park seemed so much darker suddenly as she thought about last night. As if her dark mood, of greif, mixed with rage suddenly cast everything into a darker state. Her mind knew it was just a trick of the light, but she just watched, and listened to him talk to her. She sighed, her seconds already didn't like each other, something she enjoyed a bit so she didn't have to worry about them, and it was nice to have such strong passionate people. Still she didn't think she needed to tell him about it, she looked at him. "Kai is just...." she let the hanging sentence ring around the air, how could she finish that sentence? There were ways to, but she didn't want to say anything, until she'd spoken to him again.
She shrugged her shoulders, and then swung her arms above her head streching, before putting her hands on her back pockets. It wasn't his fault, he didn't drive Kai to drink, didn't do anything, and she felt herself frown as he said he was sorry. She hated that sentence, it was a fragement, and as are more fragments, those words were empty. Over used. I'm sorry meant nothing to her in her mind. She just smirked when he called her madam. She looked at him, "I'm no were near a Madam sort of title," she said, still she smirked her crooked smile, the one that made her look like the crook she was, the theif she could be. She was more a dictator or something like that, rather then a Madam.
She said nothing about him taking her cigarette, just glad when she could get it back. She sucked the nicatine and other chemicals out threw the filter, holding in the smoke, before releasing it out her mouth, she let the smoke come up and crawl out of her mouth, seeping out slowly, until she smirked and trying to eat the smoke. She was out of her mind and she knew it, staring at her second, she wondered about how he'd come to be her second, he wasn't nearly as fierce as Kai, Kai didn't know how to be like this, she smiled. She liked the change for now, it was nice, she didn't have to worry about Moore she didn't need too he wouldn't do anything. The cigarette flickered for a moment, as she ashed it, she frowned as the cherry fell out, and her cancer stick was out. She leaned over to him and pressed her cigarette into his lit cigarette. "Thanks for being a light," she smirked at him. Before pulling away. "Your a good guy Andrew..." she paused. "Sure your a tiger?" she teased.

Andrew looked at her as she tried to make an excuse up for Kai, but she could not seem to finish her sentence. “Don’t…don’t you ever dare make excuses for any man that hits you. Ever. Promise me that.” He spoke and gave her a look that basically said she better. “I won’t have you getting hurt like that.” He whispered and just sighed softly, wondering if Kai would ever do this again or if it was just a slip up. But there is never an excuse for hitting a woman and in most cases they could get in big trouble if they did. He was still a bit surprised by this whole event because he knew Kai loved Kaz. That was quite obvious, but still, maybe the alcohol just made him partially forget that.
When Kaz stretch, his eyes averted down to her body and he suddenly was distracted from all thoughts, but then he just looked away, slapping himself in his mind because he knew that was a jerk of a thing to do. He wanted to be a gentleman to her, even though the fact contradicted his position as a gang member. The irony made him smile a bit and then he smirked only more at her statement. “Mmm..I beg to differ mylady.” He laughed a bit as he gave her a dashing smile once more. The look she gave him made him laugh more as though she was evil or something. “You look cute when you try to give me that look.” He smirked as he pressed a finger softly to her lips. He dropped his hand slowly, wanting to touch her and trace every area of skin he could touch, but he knew Kaz probably would not agree to such a thing.
He laughed as she attempted to eat the cloud of smoke. “hey now, don’t go stealing my fire.” He teased her and then was about to say thank you to her first comment before she said her last words, “Hey now…no teasing. Or I’ll have to tackle you.” He teased back giving her a challenging gaze as he held back a laugh. Kaz always was fun to hang around with and he found himself flirting with her quite a bit. A lot of times he did come off as the good guy, but some begged to differ, especially those that got on his bad side. He had a temper and really hated stupidity. He thinks that he adapted those qualities from his father but he wasn’t positive. “Mmm…you’re beautiful, Kaz. I hope you know that.” He suddenly interrupted his thoughts and looked at her with a smile and a look. He hasn’t ever really shown this side of himself to her other than a few exceptions.

When she was young she'd learned about the rules. The rules of school, of life, of everything, and she'd hated them. They were dirty in her mind, little nothings that made her want to rip her hair out and scream, she hated the rules. So she'd done what anyone who hated the rules did, she made herself above them, above them and above people who told her the rules. The only person she listened to anymore was her leader. He was long gone out of this city, before she could ever say no. Andrew telling her what to do, went over nearly as well as everyone else, she looked in his eyes blankly and didn't say anything, this was Andrew though, and she couldn't leave him like that, she sighed, and nodded her head. "I shouldn't be making excuses for him," she knew it on the inside too, but she couldn't tell herself there was nothing that had caused this, that she was totally without fault, she felt like she'd made it all happen, guilt. She smirked finally putting some of her walls back up after a long minute of silence, "If you don't like me getting hurt, better close your eyes when I'm in the ring," she said with a smirk. Kaz wasn't someone who would lay over and let herself get beat but she knew when she lost and she was man enough to take a punch in the ring. In the ring and in her home were different.
She streched her arms above her head, her fingers tangled with each other, until she let them go. If she left them up forever, sooner or later she'd catch a star, she dropped her hands next to her sides and looked over at him. Her hands came to her sides, and she stood with sass, "Nothing about me is cute," she growled at him. Kittens were cute, rainbows, pink sweet things were cute, she was nothing like that. She looked at him, when he touched her lips she didn't let him catch onto the pick up in her heart beat when he did that. It was foreward of him, but he stopped and she looked away as if nothing happened.
She gave him a kurt laugh back, "It was my fire first," she said coming closer to him, as she stopped her idiotic behavior. She was getting all bent out of shape and she didn't like it, standing in front of Andrews, she gave him a look. One eyebrow in the air, she stared him down, she was still his boss he might need to be reminded of that. She was blown back by his comment about her being beautiful, she looked at him, her eyes wide. Well the one eye, the other was sore, she rolled her eyes, and turned her back to him. "That's what I'm talking about," she said he was to nice to be one like her most of the time. "I won't worry about it much though, your eyes are broken if you think I'm beatiful," she said it with an upturned lips, she wasn't used to someone thinking that about her, or having a black eye, she patted the top of his head, "It's a nice thought tho," the thought that she was beautiful, it was a funny and cruel joke to her, something she didn't believe.

Andrew knew that Kaz hated people telling her what to do in general, but this is one thing he asked of her and it was a damn good one in his point of view. She hoped she knew why he was doing this, why he made her agree with him on this. “And that is not what I mean. I’m talking about with relationships, my dear. In the ring, it’s entirely different. Besides, you usually dominate in the ring so there isn’t much to worry about.” He commented smirking a bit as he loved the way she fought and he thought it was absolutely sexy. He knew that Kai and him would never attack her, not even in the ring, well aside from playfully. When he liked a girl and they insisted on tackling him, he tackled back, gently but he also tickled them or playfully moved them around. It was in a sense, flirting. Something like the first few times he battled Kaz and that made him laugh. “Do you remember the first few times we fought in the ring?” He said, a bit of pink coming to his cheeks as he looked down. There was an embarrassing moment for him and he just flattened his hair now as to avoid the embarrassment that came with the memories that replayed through his head.
He laughed at her protest and he just leaned back on his hands, watching her. “Mmm…sure, whatever you say.” He then laid down, his hands going behind his head as he crossed his legs, stretching a bit. Andrew at least thought she was cute, more sexy than cute, but cute nonetheless. She just had these moments like where she tried to eat the smoke up a moment ago that drove him crazy in the sense of I just want to wrap you up in my arms and make you mine because you are just so cute sometimes. His fingers were ironically in reach of her jeans and he tugged playfully on them and laughed.
He knew instantly that he had caught her off guard and instantly he pulled her off her feet so she sat on top of him and he just sat up and looked into her eyes. “You ARE beautiful, Kaz. Don’t ever let someone tell you different.” He said with a small smile on his lips and he just two inches from her face. He was so tempted to just lean in and kiss her and soon he would have to. His hand came up gently to brush along her cheek bone, up to finger through her hair gently. Something about her captured him in this type of moment and he didn’t know if he could stop himself because some moments like this were so powerful for him, so captivating. He wondered now if she would deny him such a kiss, or if she would just push away from him. He didn’t know how he would feel if that happened, but he hoped it wouldn’t get to him. Slowly he captured her lips in a soft kiss at first, locking her lips then in a rougher kiss, his eyes having closed, one hand interlaced in her hair, the other on her hip.

She had to smirk when he said she dominated in the ring, she was just broken inside on a level people didn't understand. Her brain didn't comprend the idea of backing down, stepping away from someone in a fight. She'd been brainwashed not to understand how to give up, those traits were just easily seen in the ring. It was why she dominated, broken arm, didn't break her spirit, they'd have to snap her neck before she let herself lay on the ground without coming back. Didn't matter if they were stronger then her, bigger than her, there was no limit to the pain her body could take. Kaz didn't know her limit, even if she did she wouldn't except it. She looked at him smirking, "I remember everyones first fight," she said, it was their first fight that decided everything about them to her, would they lay down and stay down or get up, even if they lost did they have the spark, did they care their apponient was a girl. She looked at Andrew he'd changed since their first fight, since they'd touched each other with heat in their hands, but still he was the same spirit she saw in the ring, he could be ruthless she knew, which she liked about him.
Kaz muttered something like, men, under her breath after he replied. She just smiled and rolled her eyes, while inside of her something changed. Sometimes Kaz wondered if she had spilt personality disorder, she was Kaz one moment, on top of the world, nothing could touch her. Yet still there were moments when the person she used to be showed up, when she was petty, cute, and just wanted to cuddle and be a girl. She shut down those emotions, so what if Andrew thought she was cute, she was done with boys for now, hadn't she been hurt enough? Apperently not, because when he pulled her and she fell into his lap, she didn't move away. Her eyes were wide, very un Kaz like manor, she looked at him, watching him. "Andrew" she went to protest against what he was saying, but her lips were over taken by his.
Suddenly her life was black, everything to her was black, swallowed by some unseen black hole. Shock, but the shock faded away, and before she knew it her eyes were closed, and she was kissing Andrew back. She wasn't denying him, shoving him away, she was melting in his hands kissing him back, sweetly, softly, when he grew more rough, she pulled away to breath. Her eyes opened and she was staring at him, staring at Andrew, what had just happened between them? Was this okay? What was she supposed to do. Kaz was out the window and all that was left was the shy little girl, was the broken girl she hide, who was looking at him, with deer in head lights eyes. "Andrew," they'd flirted before, but she'd never thought anything about it, now she wasn't sure. She stared at him, did he have feelings for her? She couldn't vocalize the words she wanted, did he like her? Why did he kiss her.

Andrew did not want to sit there and do nothing, to not take a chance, but he might of just ruined his first and last chance. He looked into her eyes, watching a swirl of confusion and emotions passing by and he felt his heart thudding against his chest, waiting for an answer. He knew he had to figure out something to explain, something to say, but he did not know what words were right, what words would fix this. He just did not look away but he was opening up to her in a way he really didn’t to other people and he usually pushed the pain aside, but he hurt because he had now an instinct she was going to deny him. He did not move for a few seconds, his body frozen in time and he was not sure what to do and he knew Kaz was experiencing the same problems. He tried to form words for a second but no sounds came out.
He watched her and smiled for a moment a bit sheepishly and as she gave him those looks, he lost hope, and his smile slowly faded. A glimpse of hurt hit him and he could not help but just stare at her for a long moment before he brought himself to find some words to get him to move away from her. “You don’t have to say anything. I’m sorry.” He whispered and just felt himself lose all faith he had in this action, all hope that built up when they had hung out. He’d given all his signs, all his desire towards her and if she did not want this, he would move on, he might even leave.
He just looked away from her finally and his jaw tightened, going a bit cold for a second. “I’ll just go.” He spoked softly and gently grabbed her and set her down on the ground next to him before getting up and looked down at her for a long moment, nodding slowly and a bit awkwardly. He was not sure what to say and he did not know how to take her silence or her expression that was spelled across her face. He was really trying but he was hurting a lot right now because he could not take rejection from her well. His eyes filled with tears and he just headed towards the street, hands shoving into his pockets. There was a sick feeling in his stomach and all he wanted to do was take it back, to just have left everything he felt buried deep within himself.

Her eyes watched his, both of them seemed to be shocked. She didn't register the pain in his eyes, the hurt, her heart was pounding. Swallowing quickly, she didn't say anything. Her voice had found some hole to hide in, and his had surfaced before his. She didn't say anything as he put her down, she didn't want to be moved, yet at the same time, she didn't know what she wanted. Her heart cried out, Andrew when he turned his back to her. She reached out a hand to grab him. Somewhere before she caught up to him, her brain kicked in. She didn't have anything to say to Andrew, it was just be more awkward possibly more pain that she wasn't willing to be in the middle of.
She turned around her back digging into the back of the bench. She wasn't sure how long she staid there it seemed forever the cold night ate at her body while thoughts chased in her mind and her heart just wanted to fail.

Andrew stopped his walking away from her and just breathed in for a long moment trying to picture himself in her shoes and he knew that after this he would have been confused in her position. He had no right to be like this to her and he realized that, but now he just let her sit there for a while to gain himself back. He had come here with a purpose, to help her feel better and after all the events of tonight, how was this helping? How was he helping? He felt a bit of guilt rise in his stomach as he just ran his fingers through his hair and just looked down at the ground. He should have stopped when she tried reaching out for him, but he didn't like a cold hearted bastard. He did not even allow her to get a few words out and that was within itself a selfish action.
Slowly he turned around looking at her, just sitting there, stunned and he wanted to beat himself up so much right now. He came over to her and sat down and sighed softly. "You did not deserve that. I..I am sorry. I know you hate those words, but I need to say them because I was an ass. But I'm sorry. I like you, more so than you probably knew before this. But I wanted to show you how I felt." He whispered wishing this was easier to say.

The human condition can only handle so much. A heart could only withstand so much, before it broke apart into peices that one couldn't be put back together. Humans like everything else on this planet, they had limits, and Kaz was at hers. She was fraying at the edges, her armor was cracked. It was as if it'd started to small, and water had found it's way inside those cracks, the water froze and expanded it broke her apart like it pulled her armor apart. She didn't know how much more she could take. Everyone around her who she'd thought she knew was two faced. Ivy her best friend, flipped the coin and was her greatest oppinent. Kai who could be so sweet with his hands, brought them down on her. Andrew was like the last straw. He has her breaking point her mind just shut down.
She'd been kept warm by her thoughts, but as her mind shut down, she let the nights cold bite at her skin, and freeze her. Make her slow, maybe she'd stop moving if she staid there long enough. Andrew came back though, and she didn't know how this was going to end, but nothing seemed positive anymore. He liked her, she thought, they'd flirted, but some how the thought had never crossed her scattered mind. She didn't know what to say, she just wanted to stop, to be frozen. When she was frozen, Kaz took over, she wasn't a girl anymore, she was his boss, she was cold and dilberate. "You have to understand Andrew. I can't be with you." her voice gave no emotion. She looked at him, only moving her head and her lips, as her eyes connected with his. She was hiding behind walls in her mind, building them up, and promising him they were never coming down. "I was with Kai. I won't fuck up the tigers anymore then I already have, with anymore relationships." she wasn't going to risk it anymore. She couldn't let herself effect her work anymore. She needed to fix this, she sighed, why did she have two male seconds? She didn't know.
She wished she had a female in between the two males. But then again she was that female. She didn't know if she could watch either of them with someone else. Which wasn't fair. Life never was. Her eyes blinked and emotion seemed to seep threw her cracks, she was hurting. It showed all over her, she didn't want to say no to Andrew, or to Kai or anyone. She just didn't have another choice.
